Program Overview

Social work isn’t just a job — it’s a calling. It’s an innate drive to achieve true social justice, to help those who are pushed to the periphery of society. Once you’ve heard the cries of marginalized groups fighting for equity, the call becomes deafening. Offered in a flexible evening format on our St. Paul, Minnesota campus,
St. Catherine University’s Master of Social Work
will show you how to dismantle inequities in your community with unrelenting empathy.

St. Kate’s emphasis on social justice, ethics, and leadership, alongside the breadth of clinical opportunities available through the program, will make you a highly desirable and passionate social worker. You’ll work side by side with faculty members, both in the classroom and in clinical fieldwork placements, to ensure your MSW experience focuses on the specific passions that inspired you to become an advocate for change.

Have a Bachelor of Social work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited program? You may be eligible for advanced standing, meaning you can skip the general social work courses and graduate sooner.
